Frequently Asked Questions

No referral is required although you may be referred by your midwife, doula, OBGYN, women’s health physio or another practitioner. You can book directly online here

Yes. When practised by a qualified and registered naturopath, naturopathic care has an excellent safety profile. At Nest & Nourish Naturopathy, all recommendations are evidence-based and carefully tailored to your individual health history, symptoms, life stage and any medications or treatments you may be using.
This is particularly important when supporting women through preconception, pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as infant and child health. Every supplement, herbal medicine and treatment recommendation is thoroughly reviewed for safety, potential interactions and contraindications, ensuring care is appropriate for your unique circumstances and can work alongside your existing medical care when needed.
-
Telehealth means your consultation is conducted online via secure video call, rather than in person. It allows you to receive personalised naturopathic care from the comfort of your own home.
Nest & Nourish Naturopathy is a 100% online clinic, which means you can access high-quality, evidence-based care wherever you are in Australia (or beyond). Any prescribed naturopathic supplements, compounded products or functional medicine test referrals and kits will be made accessible online to you and delivered to your door to make things as easy as possible.

Yes. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and have been a registered member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) for more than 15 years, which requires maintaining ongoing professional development education, adherence to strict codes of conduct and holding appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
-
Yes. In Australia, naturopathy has been reinstated as an eligible service for private health insurance rebates from 1 July 2025. However, cover varies between health funds and individual policies, so it’s best to check directly with your insurer prior to your appointment to understand exactly what you’re entitled to claim.
I am registered with a leading professional association, ANTA, which is recognised by most major private health insurers. As I am unable to contact insurers on your behalf due to privacy legislation, I recommend a quick check with your health fund before booking to confirm your level of cover.

There is no minimum age for naturopathic care. At Nest & Nourish, I support families from pregnancy through to postpartum, which naturally extends into caring for babies and children from day one.
This includes newborns, infants, toddlers, school-aged children and teenagers. Care is always gentle, evidence-informed and tailored to your child’s developmental stage, individual needs and what is appropriate and safe for their age.
